Who We Are

We're a congregation of about 200 members. Although it varies with the season and the weather, average attendance at our 8:00 service is about 20 and at our 10:00 service, about 80. We've experienced considerable renewal and growth during the last few years, welcoming many newcomers to our community of faith.

Would I Fit In?

Absolutely. We're young and old; never-married singles, traditional families, single-parent families, divorced singles, widowed singles and empty-nesters. We live in Marietta, Williamstown, Belpre, and throughout Washington and Wood counties. Some of us grew up in the Episcopal Church; others came to the Episcopal Church as adults from other Protestant denominations, the Roman Catholic church, or from no church background at all. Some of us cherish tradition; others like to experiment with new ways of doing things. Some of us wear suits; others wear jeans, shorts, sandals, and T-shirts. In short, everyone is welcome at St. Luke's.

Our Mission Statement

Jesus calls us to invite all people into a loving relationship with God. Thus, St. Luke's strives to create an open and welcoming church for all and provide opportunities for worship, study, outreach, and care for one another.
